Day 1
Pick up at Shinkansen station in Iiyama and transfer to the XPLORE Hotel
We'll pick you up at the Shinkansen station in Iiyama and bring you to our hotel in Madarao.
Day 1 - 7
Our Homebase: XPLORE Hotel Madarao
What does a typical week feel like?
After arriving at the Xplore Hotel in Madarao, you settle in, relax and ease into the rhythm. In the evening, we come together for a Welcome Dinner – getting to know each other, connecting, aligning expectations and starting to feel the vibe of the week.
The next morning starts with breakfast and a focused Safety & Snowpack Briefing – together with Felix and our local guides. After that, we head straight into the terrain: powder runs, tree lines, sidecountry exploration, learning through experience – and simply enjoying the joy of riding together.
During the following days, we start each morning after breakfast and explore new areas around Madarao – depending on snow forecast, weather windows and local knowledge. Each day feels different, each day unlocks new spots. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel – sauna, onsen, stretching, small recovery sessions… and in the evening relaxed dinners, ramen, izakaya, maybe a whisky tasting – in the group or individually.
There is plenty of space for Japanese culture, small spontaneous side trips, line analysis with Felix and the guides – and of course also time for yourself.
The final evening traditionally belongs to our Farewell Dinner – reflecting, sharing stories from the snow, capturing moments, celebrating new friendships and that special feeling of having experienced something rare.
Important: The daily schedule of this Experience is intentionally flexible. The exact program will be decided on-site – together with Felix and the local guides – based on weather, security and snow conditions. This is exactly what makes this Experience authentic.
Day 7
Bus Transfer back to Tokyo
On the final day, the return transfer back to Shinkansen station in Iiyama will be at your service.
